In Protuberance (2009) the paper was drawn on flat with pencils, painted on using gouache, pierced using a drypoint needle and then folded into squares, torn up and folded again into 3D triangles and glued together using an acid-free painting medium. The paper became the basis for a sculptural work that was attached directly to the gallery wall.
